Pseudotsuga menziesii Seed Propagation
Indoors: Soak seeds in water for 24 hours. Need 4-6 weeks cool moist stratification. Direct sow Autumn recommended or mix seed with moistened sterile soil-less mix in zip lock bag. Place in fridge for 4-6 weeks. Then direct surface sow 1-2 seeds/plant in sheltered position outdoors for germination. Press in to firm, to containers, flats or packs. Light vermiculite or fine compost cover. Keep moist for germination in a few weeks. Grow on in full sun. Transplant to permanent site when well established
