Type: Perennial, Evergreen where mild, Clump forming
Bloom: April to June
Flower: Tiny green-yellow bell shaped, erect, ½” long on 24” long stalks
Height: 18-24” tall. 18” planting distance
Light: Half Sun to Shade
Soil: Well drained, enriched with organic matter
Moisture: Average water to continually moist
Zone: 3-9
Use: Woodland Garden, ground cover in cool partly shaded woodland or under shrubs in sunny positions. Beautiful en mass
Tolerances: Tree roots, drought tolerant. Slug resistant. Frost hardy
Problems: Possibly root weevils
Notes: Remedy creeping rootstock – grow in pots. Will not do well in wet soil, high humidity or heat, especially when combined with poor drainage. Deadhead to keep plants neat, unless self sowing is desired

Tellima grandifora Seed Propagation
Indoors: Requires cold moist stratification. Sow in Spring or autumn, just covering with seeding medium. Place in cold frame or unheated greenhouse, maintain 50F to germinate 14-90 days irregular. Prick to trays when large enough to handle & grow on in nursery bed or cold frame until planting out the following Spring
Outdoors: Sow as above to seedbed in mid Spring to be transplanted to permanent position in early summer, or sow in mid summer for transplanting the following Spring
