Type: Perennial, half-hardy, semi-evergreen, spreading/creeping habit
4” long, felted silver green leaves
Bloom: July
Flower: 3-5′ white & pink flower spikes
Height: 2-3’ tall x 3’ spread
Light: Full or part sun
Soil: Ordinary, well drained
P.H.: 6.0-6.8

Moisture: Very low water needs. Do not over water
Use: Children’s gardens, accent, front border, perennial garden, rock garden, ground cover, summer bedding plant. May attract bees, butterflies & birds. Provides bold statement
Tolerances: Deer resistant, drought, a bit of shade & quite heavy soil
Notes: May not survive cold, wet or exposed areas as well as extreme heat and humidity. Velvety foliage holds rain and may rot in areas with frequent rain
Does best in dry areas

Stachys byzantina Seed Propagation
Indoors: Sow late winter 8-10 weeks before last frost using starter trays. Press in. Do not cover. Maintain 70F soil temp. Keep continuously moist until germination 4-5 weeks. If not put container in zip lock bag & place in refrigerator for 4 weeks before returning to 70F for germination. Transplant outside in Spring, 12-16” apart, pinching back to encourage compact growth
Outdoors: Transplant recommended
