Lupine ‘My Castle’ Seeds


Type: Short lived, clump forming Perennial, member of the Russel Hybrid ‘Band of Nobles’ Series. Award of Garden Merit Winner
Bloom: Late Spring to early Summer
Flower: Densely packed spikes rich carmine flowers, scented
Height: 3-4′ tall x 1-2′ wide
Light: Full Sun to partial sun. Prefers hot summer afternoon shade
Soil: Organically rich loam, moderately fertile, sandy, evenly moist, well drained
P.H: 6.1-6.5 Slightly acidic
Moisture: Average
Zone: 4-8
Use: Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Use in beds, borders, as cut flower. Stunning in mass, excellent for naturalizing. Wildflower garden
Tolerances: Deer and rabbit resistant
Notes: Will self sow in optimum sheltered position from winds. Mulch to help keep roots cool. Deadhead to promote re-bloom

Indoors: Nic or soak 24hrs Indoors: Soak for 24 hours or chip seed with clippers prior to sowing in 2″ pots or packs & cover lightly with soil January to March. Keep moist & maintain 65-75F for germination 14-21 days. Harden off before transplanting to nursery rows before planting in permanent position in October
Outdoors: Soak seeds 24 hrs prior to sowing in groups of 3-4 seeds, spaced 24-36″ apart before early Spring (May to Sept) as soon as soil is 60°F. Cover seeds 2x their thickness for germination 20 days. Thin to strongest plant
