Marshmallow Althaea officinalis Seed Propagation
Indoors: February to March or June to Aug, sow 4-5 seeds per pot, just cover. Maintain 68-70F & keep moist for germination 10-14 days. Should germination not occur, place in zip lock, then to fridge for 4-6 weeks. Keep moist until erratic germination 10-14 days. Transplant any sprouts immediately. Grow on in bright cool area. 3-4 weeks after germination or when seedlings have 2-3 sets of true leaves, harden off & plant out after risk of frost in late Spring 18-24″ apart
Outdoors: Sow in Fall for Spring germination or early Spring, after frost risk, in groups of 3-5 seeds just below the surface, 18″ apart. Keep moist. Germination 4-6 weeks
