Indoors: January start for hottest chilies or March
Surface sow onto moist warm medium
Apply fine cover of vermiculite, Use dome or clear plastic & place on heat mat in bright, warm area. Maintain 64-75F soil temperature, keep moist until germination 5-15 days. Transplant to 3″ containers when first set of true leaves. Keep warm in bright area. Harden off for 1 week before planting out in full sun 20″ apart from late May to June
Outdoors: Transplant recommended. For long growing season, direct sow 2 weeks before last frost. 18-34″ apart in rows 3′ apart. Keep slightly moist. Water regularly but sparingly once fruit sets then fertilize
